Week-end in Benalla

Hi there !

A few weeks ago I spent a weekend in Benalla, a small town in Victoria, in the countryside. It's about 250 km norht from Melbounre, close to the Murray river whic separates the state of Victoria from New South Wales. 

I was at a friend's place there (her name is Serana, we have 3 classes together at Uni). It was nice to be with an australian family, and cook, go to the market, eat and watch TV all together ! (by the way Brad, I finally watched Crocodile Dundy there!)   Unfortunately it was raining almost all the time! And you know what? they suffered from drought before I get there... :-( No luck, we couldn't sail not fish on the river, but we still got there to see her father sail in a race (we looked from inside the sailing club cause it was cold!)

We had time to visit the town, (around 30 min) and had a walk to the craft market. We also rested well and I saw that famous birds (those on every postcard), they are Gallahs. (kind of parrots) Wonderful

All is huge in Australie, it's crazy, the "little lake is like one of the largest lakes that can be found in France! Well I really enjoyed that weekend, ita was as good as spending time on a road trip, because it's a pleasure to be with an nice OZ family.
